Keeping One Step Ahead of your Baby’s Development

Life with babies can be much smoother when you stay one step ahead of their current developmental needs. Thinking ahead to what’s to come gives you a chance to make a plan and be intentional about it.

Is Baby happily playing on her back? Think ahead to when she starts rolling over.

Is Baby rolling over? Think ahead to when he crawls and sits up. Etc.

Planning ahead DOES NOT mean rushing your baby into the next milestone, but rather considerIng what you might need to do, purchase or change in the environment to ensure your baby’s safety and support his/her ever-changing developing skills.

Thinking ahead, while still enjoying the present, allows you time to make thoughtful decisions instead of rushed reactions.

Take a moment this week to sit and observe your baby at play, and then consider life from his/her perspective.  How can you best support your baby in his/her current stage of development? How about the next stage?

Want help preparing your home for Baby? Unsure how to best support his/her development?  We can help!  Understanding infant development makes all the difference in knowing how to confidently set up an appropriate environment for your baby.
